Camila Silva, the mastermind behind this design, was fascinated by the idea that certain human sensations, when expanded, can evoke a feeling of travel between dimensions. Our eyes, as the principal sense through which we perceive the world, can be seen as dimension-travel machines. The inspiration for the TARDIS lamp comes from the dilatation or expansion of a pupil, which symbolizes the gateway to new realms.

The TARDIS lamp features a series of successive transparent acrylic rectangles, creating an overlaid transparency that implies the existence of multiple time and space perceptions. From a micro to a macro angle, or vice versa, this design invites you to explore different dimensions within your living space.

With its sleek and modern design, the TARDIS lamp adds a touch of elegance to any room. The smaller boxes measure 200 mm (Width) x 80 mm (Depth) x 240 mm (Height), while the larger box measures 240 mm (Width) x 80 mm (Depth) x 320 mm (Height). The transparency of the acrylic material allows the light to diffuse beautifully, creating a mesmerizing ambiance.

The TARDIS lamp was conceptualized and brought to life by Camila Silva in Brazil. The project, which started in January 2017 and concluded in February 2017, showcases the designer's creativity and attention to detail.
